Michael Catalano has a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts (Painting/Drawing) from Tyler School of Art at Temple University and a Pennsylvania Teaching Certification. He has been teaching art since 2010 and making art since 1989. Ever since he could remember he has expressed himself through his passion of art. Throughout his life he had many inspiring and influential educators, both in art and academia. These mentors inspired his career path into Art and Education. Michael has had rewarding teaching/learning experiences in the diverse settings of both urban and suburban enviornments.  He teaches through conceptual problem solving in conjunction with artistic principles resulting in the self expression of his students. He is fulfilling his life passion as a long term substitute art teacher at the elementary level for the Council Rock School District.
